Emergencies - when we are open

In an emergency, always telephone first - we can get vital equipment ready for you and advise you what to do. It is almost always best to transport casualties to the surgery as this is quickest and our life support equipment will be ready to hand. Call us on our 24-hour emergency number on 01594 840404.

Emergencies - when we are closed

Up until now, Woods Animal Hospital has always provided our out-of-hours service. We are now able to pass our overnight on-call service to our partners, Vets Now. This service has specially trained vets and nurses in emergency and critical care and is on-site all night.

For our Forest of Dean and Lydney branch clients:

Vets Now will look after the out-of-hours service between 18:30 – 08:00 weekdays and 12:00 – 08:00 weekends.
